He has previously helped deliver RMCI training and helps represents UK Yac hting on the ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations ) board and is a member of the ISO Standards committee for large yachts.  Matt qualified as a Registered Marine Coatings Inspector in 2014.\n\nHis current responsibilities include:\n\n- Management of the AkzoNobel global claim process\n\n- New product development and trials\n\n- Specialises in paint failure investigations\n\n- Developing industry technical documentat ion\, criteria’s and standards.\n\n \;\n\nIn his spare time he is a cabinet maker / wood worker and has helped paint and refit several boat pr ojects for charities.\n\nThe seminar\, which follows on from the recent on e on an introduction to Yacht Paint delivered by Matthew's colleague\, Tim Bannister\, will be broken down into four sections:\n- Above waterline pa int defects and failures\n- Below waterline paint defects and failures\n- Brightwork / Varnish defects and failures\n- Questions and Interactive Exa mples\n- Plus a brief look at some of the paint testing equipment\n\nWho s hould attend?\nAny yacht and small craft marine surveyor who is looking to better understand how to spot a paint defect or a coating system failure. \n\nThe online seminar will commence at 11.00 AM (UK London time) on the 2 7th April 2020.
