Perhaps you’re wondering whether you’re inspecting the boat correctly and if your reports have e nough detail to meet modern day expectations? Our Practical Surveying Cour se could be just the ticket for you.\n\nIIMS Practical Surveying Course\nT his four-day residential programme being held at the Boatbuilding Academy in Lyme Regis\, Dorset\, UK aims to offer delegates practical\, hands-on s urveying experience.\n\nFor the first three days\, IIMS senior and experie nced surveyors will assist and guide you in inspecting and surveying three different boats\, as well as discussing toolkit requirements and how to u se them. The surveyors are also be on hand throughout the three days to an swer any questions you may have about inspections or the surveying profess ion in general.\n\nThe final morning will be dedicated to an in-depth lect ure on report writing\, which will offer tips and advice\, delivered in pe rson by IIMS CEO\, Mike Schwarz. The programme concludes in an assessed te st where you will write a scaled down report on one of the vessels you ins pected during the course. This is done via an online platform and should b e completed at a later date once you are back home and have had time to ta ke in all you have learned.
