  will be broadcast at 08.00 London time on 18 September 2017 using the zoo
 m video conferencing platform and will last for 3 hours. The seminar is op
 en to IIMS members and non-members.\n\nYour host and presenter for this se
 minar is John Kilhams. John\, who has been involved in the marine industry
  for 63 years\, has delievered this programme many times before. He has ex
 perience in most types of small craft construction and boatyard management
 . In addition John has 20 years in marine surveying and brings the benefit
  of this experience to course candidates.\n\nA report is the surveyor's in
 tellectucal property and he/she lives or dies by it. This three hour cours
 e aims to provide the information that a yacht and small craft surveyor ne
 eds to consider when writing his/her report\, with suggested clauses for u
 se in the report to protect against possible litigation. There is advice o
 n contracts and terms of business and how\, when and where these should be
  used. So\, if you want to tidy up and strengthen your report writing skil
 ls this is a good place to start.\n\nWho should attend this seminar?\nThe 
 report writing seminar is aimed specifically at yacht and small craft surv
 eyors\, both those who are less experienced\, but also those who feel they
  would benefit from a refresher any surveyor who has a need to assess the 
 thickness of steel or GRP hulls.\n\nThe cost of the seminar is £75. On re
