You will also complete a tonnage form to be m arked and approved for accuracy. You do not need to be a member of IIMS to participate in this training.\n\nThe next IIMS tonnage training one day c ourse (the only one planned for the first half of 2020) will be held on Th ursday 12 March at Itchenor Sailing Club\, situated on the UK south coast about 35 miles from Southampton Airport and 50 miles from Gatwick Airport if you are planning to fly in.\n\nFraser Noble\, Chairman of the IIMS Cert ifying Authority\, will lead the day’s training.\n\nThe venue is: Itchen or Sailing Club\, The Lane\, Itchenor\, Chichester\, West Sussex PO20 7AG. \n\nThere is plenty of parking at the nearby West Itchenor car park at a c ost and this must be paid at the time of parking.\n\nIn the morning sessio n\, Fraser will take delegates through tonnage theory\, explaining what is expected of those carrying out tonnage measurement surveys as he presents the specially written IIMS tonnage training manual\, a copy of which will be available for each delegate to take away. The morning session will als o be videoed with copies made available to delegates after the event.\n\nA fter lunch (included in your registration fee)\, the group will carry out a couple of actual tonnage measurements on-site before analysing the findi ngs.
