 he surveyor during a typical pre-purchase exercise. An example of an inter
 esting case will be demonstrated\, followed by advice for the surveyor on 
 what should be taken into aspects of the machinery should be considered by
  Marine Engineer Andreas Pfahler. Andreas has an encyclopaedic knowledge o
 f engines\, transmission systems\, and their controls and maintains rigoro
