The International Superyacht Coatings Conference will take place on 11 – 12 December 2014 and is being held at Amsterdam Rai.

The International Superyacht Coatings Conference (ISCC) is a prominent business-to-business event organised by Amsterdam RAI in association with ICOMIA and the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss). Specialising in superyacht coating processes and related rules and legislation, ISCC is much more than a conference and networking event – delegates will be encouraged to participate and contribute, not merely spectate. This highly interactive event will provide genuine opportunities to influence future decisions surrounding current issues facing the coatings industry.

The two day programme will explore and highlight a range of subjects including: coatings contracting and delivery; inspection and assessments; the demands of legislation; surface preparations and their effects on coating quality as well as measurement and maintenance of coatings. ISCC will provide delegates the chance to learn about and discuss the latest developments in the field of coatings with the industry’s key stakeholders; to influence future developments in the industry and network with international colleagues from the global world of superyacht coatings.

ISCC will feature sponsors showcasing their latest products and innovative equipment, as well as practical and technical demonstration booths featuring new equipment and techniques. Both the sponsor and demonstration booths can be viewed during the Conference breaks.

Peter Morgan, one of the ‘founding fathers’ and course tutors of the Registered Marine Coatings Inspectors qualification, has been invited to speak at the International Superyacht Coatings Conference. This is further endorsement, if any were needed, that the new RMCI qualification and education programme is starting to gain interest in the superyacht industry.

Peter will come to the conference fresh from delivering the first commercial RMCI course, which is taking place from 6-10 December in Amsterdam.

A past President of the International Institute of Marine Surveyors, one of the joint certificating bodies of the qualification said, “I am delighted to have been asked to address the delegates at the forthcoming International Superyacht Coatings Conference in Amsterdam. This is recognition of the growing importance of the RMCI qualification and I look forward to updating those in detail about the programme.”
