Mike joined IIMS as CEO in January 2014. Although from neither a technical nor marine background originally, Mike brings a wealth of skills gained from senior roles in media, publishing, membership and events organisations and is a keen exponent of the internet, digital and social media. His fresh set of eyes means he has been able to identify new opportunities for the Institute. This has necessitated a great deal of change, which he is actively pursuing with the help of his head office colleagues for the benefit of the membership. Mike is also Chair of the Certifying Authority Professional Standards Working Group and has become increasing passionate about driving up marine surveying standards in general. In his spare time he is a keen tennis player and passionate music fan.

Her other responsibilities is to be the confidential minute taker for executive and management board meetings that take place quarterly. Away from the office Cam enjoys spending time with her family and is often found in the kitchen on a Sunday cooking for 12. She has a black Labrador who is still in his puppy years and loves nothing more than walking him on the beach.
