Your host and presenter for this seminar is Gareth Thomas, Technical Support Team Manager, Speciality Coatings, International Paint Ltd, a division of Akzo Nobel.
In his presentation, Gareth will review what coatings are, why they are used and how we can prevent them from failing. Gareth will argue that by understanding the basics of coating technology, how they work and by using several simple tests, a surveyor/inspector can ensure that full performance of the coating system is being achieved.

The basics of coating technology is aimed at yacht and small craft surveyors of all levels of experience.
